I thought a long time about what actual toy to do for this entry. Did I want a set of cuffs to highlight something I use daily? Or did I want to write about something else, something I am relatively new to using? After thinking long and hard (no pun intended), I decided to go with something I recently fell in love with, this Pyrex dildo from Cal Exotics. You can see my original review here.
This is my new favorite toy! I have heard about glass dildos for years from others, but have never had the opportunity to try one myself until now. It is worth the hype.
I was a little intimidated by the weight of the dildo at first. But I got over my fear of the weight to try it out, and, boy, am I glad I did!
Glass toys are great for temperature play! I will usually put this in the freezer for a few hours before use to let it get really cold, taking it out for a few minutes before using it. It can also be left in a bowl of hot water before use to warm it up if cold is not your thing. Once you slide it in, and for that, I didn't even need any lube, instead I used my mouth and saliva, it takes only a few minutes of gentle thrusting to make the temperature of the dildo match your body temperature.
As you can see from this picture, the dildo itself is not too big, so it is comfortable for most women to use. Since it is glass, any lube is safe to use with the toy, although I have found, as I said earlier, using my mouth, tongue, and saliva seem to be enough for me to use it comfortably.
A few words of advice, if I may, though. Because this toy does not have a base, it is not a good toy for anal stimulation, so, please, do not use it for that.
Also, because it is solid, please be careful when thrusting it in. If it is thrust with too much force or too deep, it can injure your cervix, which is never a good time.
Since it is made of glass, this dildo is very easy to clean, it can be boiled in water for a few minutes to sanitize it, or placed in the top rack of the dishwasher with no dish washing soap, by itself, to clean it.
This is a close up of the baked on enamel design. It looks cool and does not show any signs of chipping. When using the toy, be sure you do not dry up because the design can cause chafing and irritation if you are not wet enough.
When using a glass dildo, be sure to inspect it before using to be sure there are no nicks, chips, or cracks in the glass. To protect it, I keep mine in the plastic clam shell packaging it came in.
The dildo is now one of my favorites and is used at least once a week. It is low maintenance, does not need batteries, and is silent, unless you count the moans of pleasure it elicits. Needless to say, the Inked Glass Probe will have a place in my toy box for years to come!
