Toy Box Tuesday--Part 1

Since this is a brand new feature, I wanted to do something special. And what is more special than TWO Toybox Tuesday entries? This is the first entry.

I have been wearing a Turian Infinity Collar for years now. I absolutely love it! Master got it at House Of Collars. This is actually a company that operates out of the same state we live in, so it is a local company.

To get the right fit for your neck, you need to measure the thickest part of your neck and add about an inch to that to allow for comfort without strangulation. Each collar comes with a floating O ring, which can be added when desired. The collars are hand made, so some may show some tool marks, which I, personally, think adds to the appeal of the collar. It can be worn 24/7 without raising questions because it looks like a piece of jewelery.

This is what the collar looks like when not on. It opens on one side with a stainless steel hinge pin and locking set screw, so the hinge will not break. It is closed with a stainless steel allen screw (an extra screw and two allen keys are included). The steel rod used to form the collar is 5/16 inch diameter.

From the look of the collar, one might think it is heavy, but most slaves I have spoken to who wear this collar enjoy the weight. They feel it is a reminder of their Owner and of the bonds of slavehood. I have actually become quite accustomed to the weight around my neck and the one time it was removed, when I had pneumonia last winter, I couldn't really function without the weight or feel of the steel.

The metal does not get as hot as one would imagine. I have never had a problem with the collar getting too hot while wearing it in a hot shower (and, as Master says, I take showers that are hot enough to boil most people, lol, the hotter the better). Even while out in the sun fishing, the collar did not get too hot, it stayed the same temperature as my body. In the summer, I have been known to turn the collar around to get the cooler metal against the back of my neck for a bit!

This is the floating O ring that comes with the collar. If you remove the collar every so often, this can be taken off or added depending on the situation. Without this ring attached, you can easily wear a "play collar" above the Turian.

I have had no problems with the screw not holding the collar closed. In the two years I have worn it, the screw has only needed to be tightened once. The fact that it can not easily be opened adds to the permanency of a slave's Owner's position. I love thinking that the only one who can remove the collar is Master. The allen key is small enough that it fits into His wallet. In an emergency situation, the collar can be cut with bolt cutters if the key is not available. Many slaves I know who do wear the Turian collar keep the spare key with them somewhere that is not easy to access just in case of an emergency.

All in all, I LOVE this collar. If you misplace the keys or the spare screw and need them replaced, House of Collars has an accessory pack with extra screws and keys. They also offer a variety of accessories that are actually keys that can be worn in other ways for your Dominant to always keep the keys with Him or Her.
