What is a pain slut?

A pain slut is described by different people in different ways. So, what category do I fall under?
There are the purely physical pain sluts. A very dear friend of mine (LG) is a physical pain slut all the way. The things he endures during a session leave even me in awe. And while I may enjoy a good beating every now and then, LG has me beat (pun semi-intended). Don't get me wrong, I love the physical release and pure enjoyment I get out of a whipping, but it is not the be all and end all of my sexuality any more. And I know, those of you from my past reading this can pick your jaws up off the floor now, lol.
There is more then just physical pain, though. There is mental pain as well. As much as I love the feeling of a whip or Master's belt across my flesh, I also thrill at the idea of Master's mental pain He can give. When one has a mind such as Master's the sadistic things that can be done to a willing sub are endless. While some can take physical pain well, not all can take mental in the same way. LG can't take the mental stuff I can. I love a good mind fuck.
Then there is the purely mental pain slut. The mental pain sluts can not take any physical pain. For them, it is all mental. Physical pain makes the mental pain slut shut down. The physical pain does nothing for the mental pain slut. In fact, it turns them off. But the pure mental pain slut needs the insults, the name calling, the talking down at the same way LG needs the whip or that I need the combination of the two.
