S/O, DH. DF, BF, Partner, Lifemate....

Recently, this one was involved in a discussion on a popular website about how people refer to their spouse on line. There has been a newer trend of referring to any spouse as a person's S/O, or significant other. Now, to this one, that is an insult to Master.
He is this one's Husband, not her S/O, He is this one's Master, not partner or life mate. Why should this one have to call Master something less then what He is just to be politically correct? Has any reader of this journal EVER known this one to be P.C.?
What does Eeveryone else think of the subject of references? If Yyou are married, do Yyou feel it is an insult to Yyour spouse to call Hhim or Hher Yyour S/O?

  1. Absolutely... He is "Hubby" by "name" online as I choose to NOT use his real name online in some places and there is never any doubt as to whom I am talking about when I refer to him in this way.

If speaking ABOUT him in "title" he is, depending upon the context, either My Husband or My Husdom"

He is MUCH MORE than my significant other... He IS my BETTER half. He is that which makes me whole and as such, he deserves more respect than to be referred as "Other", whether significant or not.
