300th Celebration...

Such a milestone! I honestly thought I would never get here! It has taken a few years, but I am here, my 300th post! I am amazed that I have been writing this blog for a number of years now. Some years, I post many times, other years I only have posted once or twice. This blog has been like an old friend, one I can ignore for months, and begin writing/talking to again and it will be like no time at all has passed. I know some people have 300 posts within the first year of a blog, but, for me, it has taken a long time. Partly because of the subject matter I write about, but also because even I must process things both before and after I write about them.
While I reflect on this tremendous milestone, let me give you all a minute for it to sink in. It shocked me, too!

I have recently looked back at the entries here, starting from the first one. In the first few entries, I was adamant that I was not a slave, that I was a sub, almost ashamed of the lifestyle I craved, needed. I have gone from a love-struck kid to a mature woman who falls more in love with her one and only Master every moment she is breathing the same air He is. I no longer NEED the extreme pain I needed when I started this blog.

My development from where I was to where I am now has amazed even myself. I have grown as a slave. I have gone from a sexual based service to more of a service based. I have embraced protocol and really come into my own.

My old thinking, the anti-Gorean thinking has developed and changed. We do have some elements of Gorean life in our protocols. I feel safe now as a High Protocol slave, protected. I am no longer ashamed of needing that direction to protect me, of needing to give up control to keep my life from free falling.

My journey is no where near over, not by a long shot. I continue to develop and grow as a slave. Thank you, my dear readers, for sharing the journey with me so far, and please continue to follow along as the journey continues. You have shared my journey from confused submissive to the confident slave I am today, from our first discovery of the length of Master's legacy to the official founding of House R.

From the smoke and sky of House R, I thank you for following this incredible journey with me.

Everything....

I often say that everything I do is a reflection of Master. But, when one thinks about it, is that really true? Is everything a slave does a reflection of her Master? I mean, how is something as small as what color socks you wear a reflection of your Master?
Well, it is, even something as seemingly small as my socks are a reflection on Him and His image. If I am wearing socks that don't match or brown socks with black pants, it shows I don't care about Master and the public image of His slave and His House. If something as small as socks can create a negative image of Master, what about the bigger things?
Something common that I have noticed lately, on Fet, what kind of image does it give of a "Master" if his slave, who says on her profile she is an owned slave, with a link to his profile, decides to poke fun at something said by a Named Master? As a good friend of mine said "What Master?"
The public image is very important to a Master and it is part of my responsibility, as one of His slaves, to protect it by acting right in public. Be it a local event, an Internet forum, or even just dinner with His vanilla parents, the image I project is a direct reflection of Master.
Or, something I have been weak on, but keeping a clean home. I now realize even more what my housekeeping abilities reflect on Master's image. It is something I am working on.
In short, though, everything I do is a reflection on Master, even if no body else knows it. My manner of speaking, the respect I show others, the way I dress, and my work ethic all contribute to Master's image. It is my responsibility to protect His image and I must do all I can to be sure it is the best image it can be.
