Sub-Drop

All bottoms have their own way to deal with sub drop, that mostly horrible feeling that most of us can't explain the cause of. For me, I have been very vocal about the fact that I often turn to music. I don't know if it is my past as a dancer or my autism, which makes me a very sensory person. Either way, music seems to help the most when I am in the depths of sub drop.
I have a playlist on my iTunes I load up just for drops. Songs that help me through, they remind me of Master, or just make me happy. The list is always growing and changing, occasionally a song is removed, or one added, or the order switched around.
I also have a vape flavor that brings comfort. It is chocolate chip cookies! Lol. Even the smallest thing can help in a drop.
There are shows in my NetFlix cue that I watch during a drop, too. These help bring me out of the dumps when the worst of the "sad saps" occurs.
Besides physical closeness with your Top and soft, kind words from Him, how do you deal with sub drop? What works well for you? Share your tips and experiences!

The Subdrop Misconception

Wow! When a group of "New Generation Subs" talk, I can't help but think they know nothing, they believe only what is written in fiction books, their Dominants are not teaching them, and they ignore what more experienced bottoms say.
At first, I credited this to the sub vs slave thing, but now, I think it's immaturity in submission, not to be confused with age or real immaturity, but simply immaturity of their submission.
The latest misconception they are saying is truth is that one does not drop from a scene that is not pain play! Really?
You can drop from pain play, sure, but you can drop from ANYTHING!
Personally, I tend to drop more from mental and emotional times than from pain. As a pain slut, pain play does not tend to effect me the way it effects some others. I don't drop from pain play. I also don't call time with Master a scene, it makes it sound like we are not being real, like we are acting.
But a mental or emotional time with Master causes intense drops. To me, personally, a drop intensifies the bond worked on during the time with Master, so if we had an intense bonding moment earlier, of course I'm going to drop, it's a natural response and follow up to the bonding in the time together.
So, no, pain is not needed to drop. Whoever said that is asinine and I now have even less respect for the drama queen dominant male who has them believing it.
