How to communicate

One of the biggest things in this lifestyle is communication. As a submissive and slave, I trust my Master with my very life in many scenes (breath play comes to mind here). Part of that trust has been developed and has come from communication.
Communication is even more important when you are in a poly relationship. It is the easiest way to deal with occasional jealousy issues if they crop up.
So, how do I communicate with Master what I want, desire, and feel? I use several different methods. They are effective for me and our relationship.
I use this blog. As any of my readers know, I write here about what I think, what I feel. Many times, I do so before I talk to Master. This is a safe place for me to get some of my feelings out in the open. Often, Master reading a blog entry will spark a discussion of something I have written. The blog can be a spring board for that. Also, after a discussion, often I will write a recap of sorts of how I feel about the discussion. I also, occasionally, will detail things I want or desire in the blog and Master will read the entry and decide if He wants to indulge my desire or not.
Another method of communication we use is text messages. If I am in a frisky mood, I will send Master a text saying as much. Do I want something specific? Sometimes I am more comfortable saying so in text. It just all depends on the individual submissive and Dom/me.
Talking is always a good form of communication, after all, it is the easiest but also the most overlooked. If I want something, or if something is wrong, it is often better to talk to Master about it then to wait for Him to bring it up. He doesn't always read blog entries right away since He does work, so why wait until He reads something in my blog instead of saying it to Him? Open communication begins with the ability to talk to your partner.
In my relationship, the communication might be aided by the fact that Master does see my sister and I as people first, submissives second. We are people with minds of our own. I don't think I could submit to someone, and definitely not as deep as I have submitted to Master, if they did not see me as a person, even if I am their slave. I trust Master more then I have ever trusted someone in the past, and that is because of our ability to communicate. I can talk to Him about everything and anything, which is how it should be.
