It really does make me sad and upset to see the status of marriage in this country. Just look t some of the women I talk to through emails on a daily basis. I ask, if you are just going to go against what your husband wishes, then why the hell even bother asking him?
When this one woman said her husband said she could not go on a road trip with her friend, the replies were that he is not her master, he is her husband and she should go anyway. Now, the use of the term master in that context gets to me, but I let it go because they don't know about the details of my relationship. But why are women so quick to go against their husband's wishes? Honestly, I would not go against my husband's wishes intentionally like that even if I did not wear His collar.
Why is it okay for a woman to go against her husband's wishes just because she wants something? This is over a road trip during their kids' spring break, the kids will be gone for the few days with their cousin (why either parent is not going with the kids, I know not) but what if he had something special planned for the week? What if, by going against his wishes she is ruining a surprise he had planned?
Am I just more sensitive to people going against the wishes of their husband because of my role in my relationship? Am I the only one who sees, understands, and lives love, honor, and obey? Why is it so important for this woman to go against her husband's wishes? Am I the only one who is not seeing the reason here?
